Weekly Challenge 4: REBIRTH

I’ve been thinking a lot about how this year on both a personal level and real life aspect this has been a year of change and transformation. I feel like I’m in my own process of metamorphosis. and this representation of being in my own cocoon is like the limbo I feel like I’m in with all of it. I’m leaving my old self and about to step into my new self. The thought of really fantastic change is a little ovewhelming but oh so welcome. 

I also feel like this image exactly represents the exact type of art I love to make with my camera. It was a fun project for myself that I put a lot of love into. I watched endless amounts of time lapse videos of catepillars creating their cocoons, looked a picture after picture of them. I wanted to bring the specific vision I created in my head for this image to life. Even creating my little cocoon structure for the image was cathardic. It solidified just how much I love to create these surreal, visual stories.
